Rowan E. Themer
Rowan E. Themer is a 2005 graduate of Eastern Illinois University. Rowan earned his law degree from Southern Illinois University in 2009, graduating summa cum laude. He was an editor for the Southern Illinois Law Journal while still in law school and his articles were selected twice for publication in the nationally circulated journal.
Rowan is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association and Vermilion County Bar Association and the Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association. He also provides legal services on a pro bono basis through the Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation.
Rowan concentrates his practice in the areas of Personal Injury law and Workers’ Compensation. He has successfully handled hundreds of personal injury and workers’ compensation cases and has obtained significant settlements and awards for his clients.
In 2015, Mr. Themer was named an Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers in the areas of Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Law and Workers’ Compensation. This honor is earned by being voted by other attorneys to be in the top 2% of Illinois attorneys practicing in these areas of law who are under 40 years old or practicing less than 12 years. In 2022, Mr. Themer was named a Leading Lawyer, a distinction reserved for the top 5% of attorneys in the state in a given practice area. Mr. Themer received this honor for both personal injury and workers’ compensation, and was again named a Leading Lawyer in 2023.
Rowan Themer is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, membership in which is limited to trial lawyers who have achieved a verdict, award, or settlement in the amount of one million dollars or more.
Rowan enjoys music, reading, movies, and getting outdoors as much as possible. He lives in Champaign with his two boys, Oliver and Simon.
